Middle School
At Gyeonggi Global School (GGS),
our middle school students are educated to become independent thinkers and learners.
Utilizing an American-based curriculum, our teaching staff equips our students with the tools to build deep connections between their academics and the real world.
To supplement core subjects that are aligned with Common Core State Standards and acknowledge the cultural context of our own community, all students participate in a wide variety of events and activities that are designed to unlock strategies that enhance critical thinking skills, introspective reflection, and social awareness on a global scale. In addition, our extensive list of clubs encourages exploration and interest beyond what students may find in a textbook.
Throughout their middle school journeys, we place a strong focus on providing a safe and inclusive learning environment. This includes trying new things, making mistakes, and learning from them.
We recognize the importance of providing challenging and relevant curriculum, which helps students develop the skills they need to succeed in high school and beyond. This is why our curriculum incorporates standardized testing to measure and develop each student's English proficiency.
By the time GGS middle school students advance to the next stage of their academic careers, they will understand the importance of taking ownership in their education, feel assured in their ability to assess positive risks, and have a passion for curiosity that drives them to continue to learn, grow, and excel in whatever opportunities and challenges come their way.
